Hygiene and Sanitation Policy

Incorporated by reference into the Braider Independent Contractor Agreement (§23). You must follow all applicable health, sanitation, and infection-control requirements, including those of the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners to the extent applicable.

Tools and products

Use clean, sanitized tools for every Client; disinfect or replace tools between Clients per applicable standards.

Use clean combs, clips, and supplies; discard single-use items after one use.

Use products that are safe, properly labeled, and appropriate for the service.

Hand and station hygiene

Wash or sanitize hands before and during service as needed.

Keep your working area clean; protect the Client's clothing and skin.

Client health

Ask about scalp conditions, allergies, or sensitivities before starting.

Do not perform a service on irritated, infected, or broken skin/scalp; refer the Client to a professional where appropriate.

Stop and report any adverse reaction (see Incident Reporting Policy).

Prohibited

No services involving dangerous, expired, or non-compliant products.

No chemical services (color, relaxers) unless you are licensed and authorized and the service is offered through the Platform.
